Active@ KILLDISK v. 4.1


List of files included:

1. KILLDISK.EXE	- DOS application running in "DPMI-mode" to use more memory
	(up to 32MB) required for disk scanning and file previewing 
	(requires DOS4GW.EXE to be located in the same folder). 


2. KD_REAL.EXE - DOS application running in "real-mode" (only 640Kb of memory
	is accessible). Executable is more compact, application loading is faster,
	however some complex memory consuming operations like disk scanning 
	or file previewing could result in lack of memory due to real-mode 
	memory restrictions. The real-mode application is compatible with all 
	hardware accessible by BIOS.


3. KD_WIN.EXE - Windows Console Application. It has the same user interface
	like a DOS applications, however can be run in a Windows environment.
	If run on Windows Vista - make sure that you run it as an Administrator
	and in Windows XP SP2 compatibility mode (check on the Compatibility tab 
	in file properties).


4. KILLDISK.PDF	- KillDisk User's Guide in Adobe PDF format.
	Use Adobe Reader(c) to read it and to print it out.
	Visit www.adobe.com if you do not have it.


5. LICENSE.TXT - Active@ KILLDISK License Agreement.


6. DOS4GW.EXE	- helper DPMI server. Required for DPMI-mode application 
	(KILLDISK.EXE) to be launched from DOS.


7. BOOTDISK.EXE - Windows utility to format and configure bootable 
	USB/Floppy disk runnig a Active@ KILLDISK for DOS.
	After the bootable disk is created, please, do not forget to check 
	the BIOS on the machine where you are going to use it - Floppy or 
	USB device should have a boot priority over HDD or CD-ROM.
